FG Agency Supports Intra-African IT Investment To Boost FDI

NITDA, Abuja: The Director General of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami reiterates support to IT proposals and alliances that will aid Nigeria to become a digital enabled country.

Pantami made this know while receiving the CEO of African Information and Communication Technologies Alliance (AFICTA), Mr Jimson Olufuye and his team to the Agency’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, to seek collaboration aimed to boost foreign direct and Intra-African IT investment.

The DG pledge the Agency’s full support to programs, proposals that are of national interest, He pledged maximum support to individuals, corporate body with the passion to grow the Nigerian IT sector.

Mr Jimoh Olufeye speaking earlier solicites for a continuous mutual understanding based on the MoU signed in 2014 between NITDA and AFICTA
Olufeye appreciated NITDA for sponsoring Nigerian Startups to international events, empowering IT companies and empowering NiRA with the responsibility of supervising Nigeria’s CCTLD.ng.

He informed that AFICTA was formed in 2012 with six (6) African countries, and subsequently expanded to twenty seven (27) African countries.
