The Federal Government has congratulated a United States based Nigerian Surgeon Doctor Oluyinka Olutoye on his recent feat in carrying out a successful operation on an unborn baby with the tumor in her mother’s womb.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Abike Dabiri-Erewa who conveyed the message in a statement said President Muhammadu Buhari received the news of Dr. Olutoye’s unique feat with excitement and fulfillment and looking forward to meeting him soonest.
The stamen also stressed the need to celebrate Dr. Olutoye for the wonderful feat he performed in saving lives and projecting a good image for Nigeria.

Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye and his surgeon partner Dr. Darrell Cass of Texas Children’s Hospital has carried out an operation on a fetus at 23 weeks in the US.
The baby Lynlee hope who suffered from a tumor known as sacrococcygeal teratoma was removed from mother’s womb, operated on and returned back, healed and continued to grow until she was born again at the 36th week.
