Governor Pays Surprise Visit To Ministries Appreciates Workers

Nasarawa State Governor Almakura has given its commitment towards ensuring a conducive environment for all workers in all government ministries and parastatals.

His Excellency Umaru Tanko Almakura made the commitment during a familiarization visit to some ministries and parastatals in Lafia, where he visited offices, inspected the condition of the buildings and had one on one interaction with staff members.
The Governor made it clear his visit was to access the condition of the offices and the workplace saying he didn’t just want to see the building and walk away ,stating he wanted talk with the staff and find out and to be assured the people he has manning the offices.

He gave his assurance to the workers that the government had the utmost respect for the workers and what they do, assuring that that the government appreciates their loyality and commitment. The Almakura then explained that things had been sorted out and would only get better for the workers. He said government would not hesitate towards ensuring a conducive environment as well as find what could add value the work done by the officers in the ministries despite the current economic situation.

The visit took the Governor and his entourage to Nasarawa State Agricultural Development Program (NADP) , Civil Service Commission, Ministries of Works, Environment, Commerce as well as some other offices such as the Nasarawa Urban Development Board (NUDB) Office, NASENCO office , the Special Advisers offices , and the Former Deputy Governors Office among others.
