VP Flags Off Digital Training For Nigerian Youths

A strong signal is being sent to the world economic powers as four hundred Nigerian youths are being empowered in digital skills that may lead to an explosion of innovation that could place the country among technological advanced countries even as the nation is committed to diversify its economy.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo while declaring the presidency Google digital training open, says the people of Nigeria are already witnessing the arrival of the expected future that bears good hope.

Osinbajo revealed that the government is determined to give every opportunity to younger generation to ensure they excel with the use of modern technology adding that the empowerment initiative is targeting 400,000 Nigerian youths.

He said that the administration will continue to explore creative ways at empowering Nigerian youth revealing that a special initiative on innovative technology and start ups and presentation of prospective participants have already been done in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

“We intend to create a reservoir of human capacity in technology that can be exported internationally,” he said.
