Nigeria Didn’t Only Miss Gold and Silver At #Rio2016 #Olympics #football In Germans Defeat

A Japanese plastic surgeon promised Nigeria Dream Team VI $30,000 each if they win the gold medal at the on-going #Rio2016 #Olympics #football event after discovering they were strapped for cash.

Katsuya Takasu has also promised each player a $20, 000 bonus if they win silver and $10,000 (£7,680) for bronze.

Takasu “special donation” gesture has little impact when Nigeria faced Germany in the semi-final, loosing 2-0 to the Germans.

The Nigeria side lost to one goal at each of the halves of the 90mins they played with Germany.

Takasu said “Humans with such a strong spirit should be encouraged to perform beyond their own imagination.”

And Takasu revealed that this is not the first time he has donated money to a sporting cause.

“I’ve made previous donations to a Japanese hockey team and other notable causes in the past but this right now with Nigeria is incredibly passion for me.

“I am deeply determined to motivate this indomitable and strong Nigerian team. I don’t want to distract them but to push them further to their target, which is gold.”

This news prompted Takasu to step in when he heard Nigeria’s players boycotted a training session ahead of their quarter-final win over Denmark due to a financial issues with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

Sadly and disappointed, Takasu and Nigerian fans will have to wait and see if they can take on the Bronze medal, as they will now have struggle it out with Honduras who lost the first semi final of the day to host country Brazil 6-0.
