FG Re-iterates Its Commitment To Improve Conditions Of Pensioners

The Federal Government has reiterated its commitment to improve the welfare of pensioners.

Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita disclosed this during a press briefing, held in her office in Abuja, as part of activities to mark the 2016 Nigeria Civil Service Week celebration.

She said a number of programs are on ground to assuage some of the challenges confronting effective service delivery to pensioners.

Mrs. Oyo-Ita stated that “a tripartite committee of Pension Transitory Arrangement Directorate, National Pension Commission (PenCom) and the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) have been instituted to monitor and ensure speedy address to appeals and petitions on pension matters, and also ensure quick payment.
