His Royal Highness, the Emir of Bida, Alhaji (Dr) Yahaya Abubakar has advised officials of the National Council on Establishment (NCE) to ensure that they take decisions that will help improve the welfare of workers across the country  to boost their morale for efficient service delivery to Nigerians.
The Emir made the call yesterday at his palace in Bida when officials of the technical session of the National Council on Establishment (NCE) lead by the Permanent Secretary, Service Policy and Strategy Office in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Hajiya Nuratu Batagarawa visited him.
He said that though the present economic realities facing the country are so challenging and may serve as a setback to improving the welfare of workers, the issue according to him can easily be addressed through the proper adoption of information communication technology (ICT) techniques in the Public Service to acquire the necessary data base of all Public Servants in the country so as to adequately cater for their welfare.
He expressed worry over how government’s scarce resources are often diverted by few individuals rather than using it for capital projects which will enhance the well-being of citizens of Nigeria.
The Etsu Nupe reminded  the officials of the fact that Public Service is a trust and must be seen as so by all Nigerians particularly those in authority.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Service Policy and Strategy Office in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Hajiya Nuratu Batagarawa said that the visit was part of the familiarisation tour of some tourist sites in Niger State by the officials and other delegates of the council with the view to further exploring ways of ensuring that such tourist sites are best put to public use for improved social and economic development of the country.
