Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari Donates Relief Materials to 500 IDPs in Maiduguri

The Wife of the President, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, on Saturday donated relief materials to 500 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Maiduguri to enable them observe the on-going Muslim Ramadan Fast with ease’.

Buhari was represented by the Wife of Borno State Governor, Hajiya Nana Shettima, who is also the Chairperson of the Distribution of Relief Materials Committee.

Buhari said that the gesture was to assist IDPs taking refuge in host communities.

“It is very heart warming that the committee is reaching out to victims affected by the Boko Haram insurgency across the state.

“We have also assisted victims of the insurgency in various hospitals and healthcare centres across the state, to ease their hardship,’’ she said.

Buhari therefore Called on wealthy individuals to assist the less privileged in the society. (NAN)
