CAPYDO Campaigns Against Child Abuse

The protection of children from all forms of child abuse, neglect and violence will help develop them into resourceful and well-adjusted adults in the society.

This was the focus of an enlightenment campaign at a school in Asokoro organized by the Child Abuse Prevention and Youth Development Organization, CAPYDO.

According to the group, the child’s rights act signed into law in 2003 is enough to deal with child abuses in the country, they regretted however that implementation of the act is still poor and awareness still very low. The group’s School awareness campaign will continue in other schools in Abuja
