BUHARI RECEIVES NEW ECOWAS PRESIDENT

Nigeria has promised to remain steadfast in charting a pragmatic course for genuine economic integration, cooperation and self-sufficiency for member states of the economic community of West African states, ECOWAS.

President Muhammadu Buhari stated this while receiving the new President of the ECOWAS commission, Mr. Marvel Alain de Souza in the state house.

 

PRESIDENT BUHARI’S CHILDREN’S DAY MESSAGE

President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with all Nigerian children on the occasion of this year’s children’s day celebration.

The president used the opportunity of this year’s celebration which comes just two days before the first anniversary of the present administration, to reassure children and youth that he remains fully committed to fulfilling his promise of a better Nigeria for all.

President Muhammad Buhari has congratulated the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewumi Ajagungbade III, as he turns 90 years old tomorrow.

On behalf of his family, the federal government and all Nigerians, President Buhari joined the Oyo State government, Oyo State council of Obas and Chiefs, Ogbomoso kingdom and the family of the Soun of Ogbomoso in celebrating the long life and remarkable achievements of the revered royal father, who has spent 42 years on the throne of his fathers.

The Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun says if Nigeria must diversify, it must address three issues of infrastructural deficit, tax evasion and corruption.
