9 Ships Laden With Petrol Arrive Lagos Ports
NAN: Nine ships laden with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), aviation fuel and crude palm olein, have arrived in Lagos ports waiting to discharge.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its publication – `Shipping Position’, – a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Friday.
The document indicated that seven of the nine ships waiting to berth would discharge petrol.
NPA noted that 28 other ships carrying petroleum products, food items and other goods were being expected at the ports from May 20 to June 8.
It explained that other expected ships contained general cargoes, bulk salt, bulk sugar, buckwheat, crude palm olein, bulk fertilisers, base oil, diesel, petrol, bulk gypsum, bulk pet coke, bulk charcoal and containers.
NAN reports that 20 other ships are at the ports discharging wheat, general cargoes, petrol, sugar, bulk gypsum, kerosene and containers.
