NYSC To Train Batch ‘A’ Corps Members In Entrepreneurship

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has rounded up it’s batch A orientation course for 2016.

The idea behind the formation of the body is to reconstruct, reconcile and rebuild the country after the civil war. The scheme among other aims includes building: a united, strong and self-reliant nation; a great and dynamic economy; a land of bright and full opportunities for all citizens.

It is in this view that Young Nigerians have been reminded that as youth called to national service, they need to understand that the positive implications of revival of the agriculture sector and optimization in the country are limitless and therefore requires their contribution to boost food security for economic growth.

Marking the end of the batch A orientation course in Abuja, the FCT Minister, Muhammad Musa Bello who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Babatope Ajakaiye stated that the Nigerian Government is ready to support and provide good climate and arable lands to improve agricultural productivity as it seeks to reduce poverty and grow the economy.

The Director General, NYSC, Brig. Gen. Sule Kazaure promised entrepreneurship, skills and development training, he also took a tour during the closing ceremony to visit damaged hostels at the camp in Abuja.
