#Budget2016: Who Is Right Or Wrong Is Unhelpful – Sen. Goje

The Chairmen of Senate and House of Representatives Committees on Appropriation Senator Danjuma Goje and Abdulmumin Jibrin have urged their colleagues in the National Assembly to accede to the request by President Muhammadu Buhari to have a second look at the details of the 2016 Budget and make the necessary adjustments within this week so that he can assent.

In a statement jointly signed, Senator Goje and Honourable Jibrin say a debate about who is right or wrong is unhelpful in the circumstance; and does not advance the cause of Nigerians whose interest they all have been elected to serve.

While exonerating themselves of any wrong doing, the law makers say they intend to respond at the appropriate time, but for now, consider it important to resolve the impasse around the budget and get it assented to so that its implementation can begin in the interest of all Nigerians.
