Nigeria’s Foreign Policy Strengthened Under Buhari’s Administration – Min. Foreign Affairs
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Geoffrey Onyema has said that Nigeria’s foreign policy is being strengthened under the Buhari’s administration to ensure that Nigeria maximizes its relationship with other nations.
He said this on Good Morning Nigeria while explaining Nigeria’s foreign policy direction.
Part of the agenda of the new administration the Minister noted is to strengthen the foreign policy in such a way that it will impact on Nigerians at home and abroad.
He explained that the president is keen on ensuring that the nation benefits from its relationship with the rest of the world.
The minister says Nigeria is partnering with other countries in the continent to guarantee the free movement of people to boost economic potentials of Africa.
He highlighted the gains recorded by the President’s visits to other countries to include recovery of Nigeria’s looted funds and intensified fight against Boko haram. A South African business man joined the Minister to discuss the recent visit by President Jacob Zuma of South Africa.
They hoped that the interactions between the two countries will benefit citizens of both countries.
