The Buhari Media Support Group (BMSG) commends President Muhammadu Buhari on the ongoing anti-corruption campaign embarked upon by his administration.

The group in a press statement in Abuja states that the campaign is bearing fruit and gradually changing the image of the country as one where corrupt acts are no longer welcome.

According to the BMSG, the anti-corruption war of the president, despite the cynicism of partakers in the ruinous looting of the country, is having the desired impact, nationally and internationally and has unmasked the true colour of many prominent persons and wealthy individuals who have been in and outside of government.

The group notes that in the latest ranking of corrupt countries the world over by Transparency International, the anti-corruption watchdog, the name of Nigeria is conspicuously missing because of the impact the crusade against corruption by President Buhari is having locally and outside Nigeria.

The group declares that the changing perception about Nigeria is due to the “Buhari phenomenon”, his body language and the unmasking of the corrupt in our midst.

The group draws attention to the fact that other reputable international organisations and personalities have positively taken note of the anti-corruption war and have pledged their support. These organisations are the European Union, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the US government through Secretary of State, John Kerry and Commerce Secretary, Penny Pritzker.

The group calls on all patriotic Nigerians to equally support the efforts of the present administration to combat corruption before it damages the nation beyond redemption.
