International Press Institute Applauds President Buhari’s Stands Against Social Media Bill

The Nigeria National Committee of the International Press Institute – IPI says it note with concern the raging controversy over the Nigerian Senate’s Bill to criminalize Social Media practice.

In statement signed by Chairman I.P.I. Nigeria, Kabiru Yusuf, applauded President Muhammadu Buhari’s Swift anticipatory veto on what the Institute describe as monstrous bill.

Following the President’s patriotic footsteps, I.P.I. urges the Federal House of Representatives to ignore the bill if it get to its hallowed Chamber.
