Persons With Disability Show Abilities Through Pictures

Healthcare and economic empowerment has continued to come the way of persons with physical and mental disability in Nigeria as the Australian government say it has been supporting the country with over Five Hundred and Ten Million Naira since 2010.

This was disclosed by Mathew Mechan of the Australian Government in Nigeria during a Disability Rights Advocacy centre photo exhibition held in Abuja.

In a relaxed and layed back environment, people living with physical and mental disability, are showing that there is ability in disability.

Do pictures really speak a thousand words? the answer is yes, going by the turnout and the interactions following the reactions from pictures portraying images of challenges faced by persons living with one or more disability.

The purpose of the exhibition is re-echo the need to eliminate the ignorance that persons with perceived disability can be productive members of the society and that they do have a voice, a message and a means to express it.
