Defence Headquarters Warns On Cluster Bombs

The Defence Headquarters has warned people living in the North East and other parts of the country to be on the look out for cluster bombs known as scatter bombs.

A statement by the Acting Director Defence Information Colonel Rabe Abubakar indicates that the Nigerian Army Engineers serving in Adamawa state discovered these bombs. It described such bombs as smaller explosive contained in individual cases and used in crowded places to wreck havoc. Members of the public are advised to be wary of concealed dangerous equipment now being used by terrorists and report such objects if seen to security agencies.
