Nigeria To Soon Commence Production of Steel Pipes For The Oil Industry

Nigeria will soon be on the map of countries producing her own petroleum steel pipes for use in the oil and gas sector.

Though the steel pipes used by the industry has been imported over the past fifty years, the Polaku Steel Pipe Mill to be built in Bayelsa state is expected to produce the best quality steel of 150,000 high frequency welded pipes under the management of Mainland Pipes Nigeria Limited, supported by the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board and China’s Baojie Petroleum Steel Pipe Company BSG.
