President Jonathan reaffirms commitment of his administration to curb the menace of terrorism and insurgency in the country

c. He said the Federal Government will continue to adequately fund and equip the Nigerian Military to ensure that insurgency is defeated. The President gave the assurance during the inauguration of the PDP National campaign organization. He said in the last fifteen years of its rule in the country, the Peoples Democratic Party has strengthened Nigeria’s democratic institutions, raised its economic fortunes and lifted its health status through purposeful leadership and good governance.

The President challenged members of the campaign team to ensure peaceful but vigorous and issue-based campaign throughout the electioneering period.
PDP National Chairman Ahmed Adamu Mu’azu, cautioned party members not to derail from the objectives of its founding fathers, of justice, equity and fairness.
Other speakers who eulogized the president, said he is the best candidate Nigeria can produce.
