Aviation Minister Reaffirms Commitment To Transform Aviation Sector In Nigeria

The Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka has promised sustained transformation in the sector that will ensure improvements in the safety of the Nation’s airspace as well as security and comfort of passengers.
In a statement ushering in the New Year, the Aviation Minister stated that the initiatives of the Jonathan Administration aimed at transforming the sector have started bearing fruits with the
coming on stream of more private airline operators, newer aircraft and improved passenger service. He observed that the retention of Nigeria’s category one status by the United States Aviation Authority remains one of the major achievements of the sector pointing out that efforts are on to ensure that the Nation’s airports are among the ten best in Africa. The Aviation Minister pleaded with Nigerians to keep faith with the administration to ensure sustenance of the gains in 2015
