Potiskum Bomb Blast

Following the directive by the Yobe state government that all schools in the state be closed down in the aftermath of Monday’s suicide bomb attack at the
Government Science Technical College Potiskum, all schools have been closed until the security situation in the area improves.
Correspondent, Mustapha Yusuf Musa reports that

schools in Yobe state have complied with government directive  that schools to be closed as parents and guardians were at the various schools to take their children back home.  At the Nigeria Turkish International College Mango, students with their luggage were seen trying to board vehicles to their various destinations.  Some of them said they were sad with the turn of events over the years describing them as an enemy to their educational pursuit.

Meanwhile findings at the General Hospital Potiskum indicates only one victim of the bomb blast was receiving treatment  with 41 suffering serious injuries  have been transferred to Federal Medical Center Zaria. Hospital officials rule that all bodies in the mortuary have been claimed except for some scattered human parts which could not be identified.

Alhaji Ali a resident of Potiskum who lost his 17 year old son Kassim, an SS2 student says he was terrified by the events and lives everything in the hands of Allah. Another parent Ibrahim Alhaji Ali Garba said even though his son suffered injuries in the attack, that will not deter him from sending all his children to school.
