Federal Ministry Of Health Commences Training For Health Workers Nationwide on Ebola

As part of strategies to mitigate the occurrence of the Ebola Virus disease, officials of the Federal Ministry of Health are going round the country to train Health Workers in the thirty-six States and the FCT. The training programme which is in line with the resolution of the National Council on Health is aimed at providing participants with necessary knowledge and skills to forestall the spread of the deadly disease. health-workers-workshopThe training of health workers is one of the ways mapped out to curtail the spread of Ebola virus in the country. Director Disease Surveillance Federal Ministry of Health, Mrs Olabunmi Ojo called on the state government to ensure other health workers are trained on the disease, saying that with proper training the disease will be adequately handled.

Niger State Commissioner for Health and Hospital Services, Hajjia Hadiza Abdullahi represented by Dr. Ibrahim Tifi and other speakers commended the federal ministry of health for the initiative and enjoined the participants to cascade the training to larger group of health workers in the state.

Participants in the training are drawn all the health facilities and relevant departments across the state
