Light Weapons In Nigeria; Committee Expresses Concern

The Presidential Committee on Small and Light Weapons has raised an alarm over reports of Nigeria’s new situation as a major destination of arms trade and not just a transit point. Chairman of the Committee , Emmanuel Imoghen expressed this concern during a courtesy visit to the Director General of the National Orientation Agency, Mike Omeri.  Mike Omeri appealed to Leaders at all levels to collaborate with Security Agencies to clamp down on those behind the formation of ethnic militia groups in the Country in order to stem the tide. Omeri also promised to embark on the campaign against ethnic crisis in the Country.
