First Lady Congratulates Justice Bulkachuwa

First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan has congratulated Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa and welcomed her confirmation by the Senate as the President, Court of Appeal.

 In a congratulatory message, Dame Patience Jonathan said she was delighted that after diligent service to the nation, Justice Bulkachuwa has again attained another historic milestone by becoming the president of the second highest court in Nigeria following the footsteps of Justice Mariam Aloma Muktar who was the first woman to be appointed Chief Justice of Nigeria.

The first lady said the confirmation of Justice Bulkachuwa as the President of the Court of Appeal is a great achievement for Nigerian women and a testimony to the fact that Nigerian women if given the opportunity can attain any position in the society and contribute to nation development.
