Senate Passes Sexual Offences Bill

The Senate has passes for 2nd reading the sexual offences Bill 2013. The Bill
sponsored by Senator Chris Anyanwu, seeks to review existing laws in respect of sexual offences, and impose stiffer penalty, against offenders to check the evolving trend in the fight and control of societal menace. President Goodluck Jonathan is seeking the confirmation of the Senate in respect of his nominees for appointements in key sectors of the economy
