NIPP Obtains Licenses from NERC

By Hamza Musa Makarfi

The National Integrated Power Project has obtained licences from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission for seven of its power plants. The licenses are for Benin, Omotsoho, Omoku, Gbarain, Calabar, Geregu and Egbema generation companies.

The initiative will build confidence among stakeholders as NIPP sets out to privatize the power plants. The National Electricity Regulatory Commission asked NIPP to be steadfast in addressing the challenge of electricity supply to the Nation.
