Maku Opens Ministerial Platform

The Minister of Information, Labaran Maku says, the achievements recorded by the Jonathan Administration within two years is an indication of Government’s determination to transform Nigeria. The Minister stated this at the opening of the 2013 edition of the Ministerial Platform in Abuja.

The Ministerial Platform tagged: Nigeria “A Nation in Transformation” is aimed at ensuring that democracy responds to the yearnings of the people by encouraging participatory governance.

For the Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, this year’s edition is an expanded version of the mid-term report presented to the public by President Goodluck Jonathan on May 29th. The Minister added that the Good Governance Tour Project, as approved by the Federal Executive Council, covers the 36 States of the Federation and the FCT, irrespective of political leaning, adding that the project is designed to confirm performance claims by the Government.

The Ministerial Platform is a month long event designed for Ministers to present their score card in the public domain.
