Nigerian Army Intercept Cannabis

The Nigerian Army on routine check at Lokoja – Abuja – Abaji express check point has intercepted goods suspected to be cannabis. This was disclosed at a Media briefing held  at the Guards Brigade Nigerian Army addressed by Lt. Colonel Adeyinka Adereti on behalf of the Commander Guards Brigade Brigadier General Emmanuel Atewe. Lt Colonel Adeyinka Adereti said a suspected terrorist was arrested alongside the seizure of the suspected substance by troops of 176th Special Forces Guard Battalion on the line of duty.

The estimated mquantity of the seized suspected cannabis which was handed over to the NDLEA were in two batches of 93 and 31 bags put at about 50 kilogrammes per bag. The suspects who claimed ignorance are to face prosecution soon.
