Digi TV

The world is expected to transit from analogue to digital television broadcasting come June 2015. Nigeria had first set the transition for June 2012, but that wasn’t possible. The new date is January 2015.

Digi TV is a programme designed to sensitize the public on the need to migrate from analogue to digital television broadcasting so as not to be cut off when it takes effect in Nigeria in January 2015. Members of the public with analogue television sets will need a decoder also known as “set top box” that will change the analogue signal to digital. Guests on the programme are stakeholders in the industry, both in the technical and content areas.
