Katsina Governor Sets Up Committee To Investigate Governor’s Office Fire
Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, has established a committee to investigate the fire outbreak that occurred in a part of the Governor’s office, known as Muhammadu Buhari House.
The fire damaged the Mini Chamber attached to the Governor’s office, but was brought under control by firefighters from federal and state agencies.
A statement by Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’adua the Director of Press Office of the Secretary to the State Government, says the 9-member committee, comprising top government officials, has been tasked with determining the cause of the fire, assessing the damage, identifying lapses that led to the incident, and recommending measures to prevent future occurrences.
The committee has one week to submit its report and has the authority to co-opt additional members to assist in its investigation.
Governor Radda has expressed confidence in the committee’s ability to conduct a thorough investigation and provide recommendations to prevent similar incidents in the future.
