Joint Security Team Guns Down Six Unknown Gunmen At Ishieke Police Station, Ebonyi State

Six unknown gunmen were shot dead by a joint security task force made up of the police and military personnel, Wednesday night during an attack at Ishieke Police Station in Ebonyi local government area of Ebonyi state.

The chairman of Ebonyi local government area Prince Chinedu Uburu, who confirmed the incident to NTA news said the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the police station informed him of the ugly incident at about 9 pm.

According to Prince Uburu, 10 motorcycles confiscated by the police, and some vehicles were set ablaze by the suspected hoodlums, while a police officer and some inmates, sustained injuries.

He further stated, that 5 out of the 7 hoodlums were shot dead by the joint security team while the body of one of the two that escaped with bullet wounds was recovered at the nearby bush.
