The House also passed a resolution to hold seperate meeting with heads of comemercial banks and the CBN as members of the public complained on the availability of the redesigned currency for transanctions.
While debating a matter of urgent public importance from representative Sada Soli seeking extention of time for the currency swap, the lawmakers noted that the old currency should be phased out rather than forced out inview of implications on small businesses.
House speaker femi gbajabiamila acknowledged that the CBN is making efforts on sensitization, but urged that it should not to see the review of the cashless policy as a failure of judgment.
