IIRO to Carry Out 1000 Free Eye Surgeries to Indigenes of Kebbi

Governor Abubakar Atiku Abubakar of Kebbi State has commenced his next level agenda with the health sector by
partnering with the International Islamic Relief Organisation (IIRO) to carry out 1000 free eye surgeries for indigenes of the state.
According to Dr Muhammad Ahmad Muhammad Altayeh the IRRO Health Coordinator, screening will be carried out by Kebbi State health officials from 25th April, 2019 at the Kalgo Medical Centre whilst their team will commence the Surgical operations on 30th of April, 2019.
He thanked the wife of the governor Dr Zainab Bagudu and her Medicaid Foundation for facilitating the entire process and ensuring the success of the program.
The health coordinator who led a pre inspection team to Kebbi State this weekend further stated that 1000 prescription glasses and medication for 6 months will be provided FREE.
The state government will also provide security, meals, transportation, and accommodation for all the patients and workers throughout the duration of the programme.
