Medical Women Association Of Nigeria Holds 20th Biennial Conference…

The 40- Year Old Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN) kicked off its 20th Biennial Conference and General Meeting in Abuja on Thursday 14th September with a morning walk. In keeping with the theme of the’ international conference’, ‘Women and Children in Humanitarian Crisis’, an outreach was organized on Saturday 16th July in Pwi, FCT village


Delegates from across the country have arrived in preparation for the scientific meeting and took part in the outreach during which free drugs were given for conditions such as malaria, chest infections and Hypertension.


Amongst the delegates are wives of the executive governors of Niger and Kebbi State namely Dr Amina Abubakar Bello, a consultant gynecologist and Dr Zainab Bagudu a consultant paediatrician. Members of the public were also educated on lifestyle and healthy eating in Abuja.
