Defense Minister’s Condolence Message On Kala-Balge’s Incidence
Tukur Gusau, Abuja: The Honourable Minister of Defence Mansur Muhammad Dan-Ali consoles the government and people of Borno state over the unfortunate incidence that led to loss of lives and injuring others as a result of rockets mistakenly deployed by the Nigerian Airforce in Rann Internally Displaced person’s camp in Kala-Balge Local Government Area of Borno State.
“The incidence is highly regrettable and could have been avoided.”
“However, this is an isolated case which happens rarely in a theatre of battle,” the minister said.
The Honourable Minister pray to Almighty Allah to grant the souls of those lost in the incidence perfect peace and also gives the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the lost. He also prays for the quick recovery of those injured.
The Minister of Defence wishes to assure the nation that the Armed Forces of Nigeria will apply extra caution in the conduct of its operations across the country.
The Minister has already directed the Military to carry out a speedy evacuation of the casualties and render all necessary medical care to the wounded.
The Defence Headquarters is already directed to conduct a detailed investigation with a view of making sure such ugly situation never happen in future operations.
