President Muhammadu Buhari Arrives Bamako, Mali
Adamu Sambo, Mali: President Muhammadu Buhari is in Bamako, Mali ahead of the 27th Africa- France Summit Scheduled for Saturday.
The President accompanied by the Governors of Sokoto and Oyo States was given a befitting welcome on arrival at Modibbo Keita International Airport at half past eight Friday evening local time.
A high powered Malian Government delegation was on hand to receive the Nigerian leader who is expected to join his counterparts across the continent at the summit convened by President Francois Hollande for Partnership, Peace and Emergence.
The forum is aimed at strengthening cooperation between France and African countries on peace, security,economic partnership and development.
President Buhari will use the opportunity in Mali to underscore his administration’s efforts at improving Nigeria’s business environment towards attracting more foreign direct investments.
Ministers of Defence, interior, Foreign Affairs and the National Security Adviser are also attending the Summit.
