Message To Nigerians From Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Olonisakin

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin wishes to felicitate with the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the entire Nigerians at this auspicious season of Christmas and the New Year.

The CDS sends warm greetings to all personnel of the Armed Forces at the theatre of operations across the nation for their doggedness and sacrifice at bringing lasting peace to our dear nation, commending them that their sacrifice will never be in vain. We will continue to pray for the repose of the soul of our gallant heroes, who paid the supreme price for their country to be in peace. We assure their families left behind of our continous adequate welfare including the sponsorship of their children from primary school to university and give other support necessary for their wellbeing.

General Olonisakin is assuring Nigerians that the Armed Forces of Nigeria will continue to give its best in line with its constitutional mandate.

While rejoicing with all Nigerians on this Yuletide season, the CDS therefore solicits cooperation of members of the public to volunteer needed information that will help the Armed Forces and other security agencies to contain crimes and insurgency in our land.
