Interior Minister condemns Taraba ,Kaduna and Zamfara killings
Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau (Rtd) has condemned in its entirety the senseless killing of innocent Nigerians in the three states of Taraba, Kaduna and Zamfara.
This is in a statement by press secretary to the Minister, Ehisienmen Osaigbovo. He said this is most regrettable at a time the Buhari administration is putting measures in place to revamp the nation’s economy and deliver on his electioneering promises of building a vibrant and united country, where every individual will realize his or her potentials, irrespective of tribe, religion nor political affiliations.
While condoling with the Government and people of the three affected states over what he described as irresponsible, senseless and barbaric acts of some criminally minded persons, he assures every Nigerian that Government will not rest in its efforts at addressing all forms of criminality throughout the country.
Consequently, the Inspector General of Police has been directed to mobilize more security personnel to the affected areas to ensure peace within the yuletide and beyond and to deal decisively with criminally minded elements fermenting trouble.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has also been mandated to ensure strict protection of the nation’s critical assets and infrastructure.
