Pantami Advised Microsoft Nigeria On Spread Of ICT Interventions
The Director General, National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Dr. Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami has called on Microsoft to diversify their services to areas that are critical to the development of the nation and are in line with the mandate of the Agency, while highlighting on areas like capacity building, job creation, cybercrime and IT regulations as key focus areas
The DG stated this when he and some members of his management received the delegation of Microsoft Nigeria at NITDA headquarters in Abuja.
He expressed delight over the domestication of Microsoft services in Nigeria to boost local content development of the nation.
Pantami also advised the team on the spread of ICT interventions to all geopolitical zones of the country especially in the north east where they are trying to rebuild the community due to insurgency. He said focusing in one area only is creating more knowledge gaps among the citizenry.
The Microsoft Nigeria Team were at the Agency to ensure their propositions and offering support to the Agency’s vision and goals and to show commitment to delivering value through best innovative technology, assets and capacity building programs to compliment what NITDA has been during over the years.
