Minister of State for Environment, Ibrahim Jibril says the Board of Trustees inaugurated by President Muhammadu Buhari on the implementation of the United Nation’s Environment Programme, UNEP report on Ogoni is awaiting registration by the Corporate Affairs Commission to commence full operation.

He stated this at an interactive session with the House Committee on Environment and Habitat.

 

Executive Secretary Addresses Intending Pilgrims

The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, Tor Uja, has assured intending pilgrims of their security during the 2016 Pilgrimage to Rome, Greece and Israel with a call on them to dedicate themselves to the way of God through prayers. The Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority, Yakubu Ibn Mohammed says NTA will continue to support Organizations with programmes that will better the lives of Nigerians. This is when the leadership of a non-governmental organization, Dave Omokaro Foundation Fighting for the rights of the Aged in Society visited the NTA in Abuja.

IGP On Welfare Of Police Personnel On Ondo

Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris says the allowances for the men and officers who participated in security operations in Ondo state election are being paid.

A statement by Police Force Public Relations  Officer DCP Don Awunah indicates that the payments are done through the banks under Treasury Single Account, TSA policy to ensure transparency and accountability.

The statement commended the Police Personnel deployed for the successful election in Ondo state which was adjudged to be free and fair.

NTA To Partner NIGCOMSAT

The Nigerian Television Authority and Nigcomsat have reached an agreement to work towards increasing the local content especially in patronizing signal carriers.

This was reached when the Chief Executives of the two establishments met at the Corporate Headquarters of the NTA.

Adebola Brookslyn Sunday reports that the Director General NTA also received in audience the US Public Affairs Officer in Nigeria.
