Ten head coaches have been shortlisted by experts from the FIFA Football Committee for The Best FIFA Men’s Coach 2016

Wales manager Chris Coleman and Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri were nominated.

Wales reached the European Championship semi-finals, their first major tournament since the 1958 World Cup.

Ranieri’s Leicester stunned football by winning the 2015-16 Premier League.

Pep Guardiola (now Manchester City), Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool) and Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham Hotspur) are also on the list.

Other nominations are Didier Deschamps (France), Luis Enrique (Barcelona), Fernando Santos (Portugal), Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid) and Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid).

The winner of The Best FIFA Men’s Coach 2016 will be chosen through a combined voting process, in which 50% of the decision will be based on the choices of all captains and head coaches of national teams around the globe. The other 50% will be split between the result of an online public ballot with football fans and submissions from a selected group of over 200 media representatives from the six continents.

The award winner will be announced on 9 January, 2017.
