Senate rejects sale of National Assets
Senate majority leader, Ali Ndume today at the plenary moved a motion urging the senate to reject the proposal for the sale of the nation’s assets to shore up Foreign Reserves”
The senate rejected prayer 3 of the recommendations which sought for the sale of National Assets to shore up Foreign Reserve. following his Motion the Senate President Bukola Saraki puts the motion to a voice vote to which “the ayes had it”
In a related development, report of the Ad hoc committee on the state of the economy by the committee chairman Sen Yahaya Abdullahi was put together for onward transmission to the executive. Senator Ali Ndume, Hope Uzodinma and Tayo Alasoadura commended the committee for a detailed report. Sen. James Manager seconds the motion and Senator Yahaya Abdullahi reads the report.
