Youth Council Adopts Petition against Jubrin

The National Youth Council of Nigeria has adopted a petition written to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission urging the commission to investigate Abdulmumin Jibrin, member Representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency of Kano State, and the Federal Commission for Refugees, Migrants and internally displaced person over alleged multi million Naira contract fraud amounting to over four hundred million naira.

The Minister of Budget and National Planning Senator Udoma Udo Udoma says Government is working out modalities, especially in early preparation of the budget, that will fast-track national development.

Troops Repel Boko Haram Attack on Kangaruwa

Troops of Operation Lafiya Dole at Harbour in Kangaruwa (Sunday) successfully repelled suspected Boko Haram Terrorists attack.

The Troops killed 16 of them and recovered arms and ammunitions from them.

Various weapons and arms were recovered from the Insurgents.

Unfortunately, an officer and eleven soldiers were wounded in action during the encounter. They have however been treated and they are in stable condition.

A statement by the acting director army public relations, Col. Sani Kusasheka Usman says the troop is intensifying vigilance with high level alertness through patrols reconnaissance.

Troops Arrest Youths Vandalizing National Assets in Borno State

In a related development, Troops of Opertaion Lafiya Dole on patrol at the outskirts of Maiduguri Metropolis, Borno Monday afternoon arrested four suspected vandals of critical national assets in the area.

The suspects were caught at silo along Maiduguri-Damboa road while attempting to chart away heavy armored cable belonging to Power Holding Company of Nigeria they vandalized.

The suspects are being interrogated and would soon be handed over to appropriate Security Agency.

This is contained in a statement by Acting Director Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman.

 

 

 

Update on Operation Lafiye Dole

As part of ongoing Operations to clear Remnants of Boko Haram Terrorists in North-East, Troops on Sunday du4ringt a patrol around Mopol and Becos

General area killed a Boko Haram Terrorist and recovered five bicycles, a wheel barrow containing sacks of foodstuff and a Tecno mobile phone.

A statement by the Acting Director of Public Relations Colonel, Sani Usman says with surveillance on IDPS camp in Bama, twenty three persons were intercepted who claimed to have escaped.

 

23 Prisons Officers Dismissed

Twenty-three Prisons Officers have been dismissed and eleven others suspended by the Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Services Board.

The action is for the Officers’ complicity in the escape of Prisoners from Kuje Medium Security and Koton Karfe Prisons.

The dismissal was contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the Board Alhaji A. Ibrahim which considered serious misconduct and

Negligence of duty leveled against the affected Officers.

In a related development, the Officer in charge of Nsukka, Prison DCP Okonkwo Lawrence and ten others have been suspended over the recent Prisoners’ escape from the Facility.
