Buhari Hosts Dinner For NASS Members
President Muhammadu Buhari has restated his administration’s commitment towards upholding the principles of separation of powers as enshrined in the 1999 constitution as amended.
Speaking at a presidential dinner in honour of the national assembly members, the President however said the three arms of government must ensure that actions conceived and taken are in the strict accord with their limited constitutional powers.

Following the manifestation of the disposition of the armed Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) activists to undertake premeditated attacks on Police officers engage in operations aimed at restoring public order in States in the South-East and South-South geopolitical zone of the country, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase, fdc, NPM has directed the Assistant Inspectors General of Police and the Commissioners of Police in the affected area to disarm members of the group operating firearms immediately.
President Opens NBA Council Of Ministers
President Muhammadu Buhari says the anticipated achievement of investments proposed in the operational plan of the Niger Basin Authority, NBA will improve the living conditions of the basin population.
The President stated this in a message to the opening of an extra-ordinary session of the NBA council of ministers held in Abuja.

Rivers State Governor Holds Townhall Meeting
Rivers state governor Nyesom Wike says his administration in the last twelve months has been able to rescue the state from dysfunctioning.
Speaking at an interactive session to give his scorecard of one year in office, Wike said to kick start the administration on day one, he directed the re-instatement of one thousand lecturers of state university of science and technology sacked by the previous administration on union activities.
