Tarok Community in Plateau State Demand Ten Billion Naira Compensation From Federal Government

The Tarok Community of Wase Local government Area of Plateau State is asking the Federal Government to pay Ten Billion Naira as compensation for the loss of lives, Property’s and act of terror unleashed on Innocent Citizens in the Wase Killings.

Executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission
Submitting the petition, the leader of the delegation urged the National Human Rights Commission to set up a panel that will conduct a full investigation on the Wase killings which occurred on 2nd May 2015 in order to explore all legal means to obtain justice for the victims. The Executive Secretary of the Commission Prof. Bem Angwe and House Committee Chairman Beni Lar on Human rights described the killings as pathetic and barbaric.
