According to the infographic from Mushroom Networks, 51.5 million people visit Facebook in Africa, representing around 4.8% penetration compared to a 17% world average.

Nigeria has 48.4 million daily internet users, leading the rest of Africa in the average number of daily internet users, almost doubling the number from Egypt which is second in Africa.

Africa has a 11% market penetration; implying huge potential abounds on the motherland. With a mobile broadband growth of 41% per year, Africa has the highest growth rate in the World.
