President Jonathan Approves Ecological Intervention Fund for Ahmadu Bello University Zaria

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the rehabilitation of the Kubanm Dam of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria. This came to light when the Permanent Secretary Ecological Fund office Goni Sheikh called on the Vice Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Professor Abdullahi Mustapha in his office.
This is coming against the back drop of government desire to expand the water facility which was originally planned for 6,000 people and now over stretched by about 60,000 people living in the area.

The Permanent Secretary Goni Sheikh adviced the University to establish a liaison Desk that will work with contractors, sub-contractors and consultants on the project to ensure speedy completion of the job and quick adherence to the approved bill of engineering measurement and evaluation.
