Globacom Launches Security Identity card for NURTW

Considering the risk and hazards involved in road transport business, a leading telecommunication outfit, in Nigeria, Globacom has launched a security identity card for members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers.

The automated teller machine code card is a group accident insurance card with an assured one million naira in case of death and eight hundred and fifty thousand naira in the event of permanent disability.

In order to benefit from this initiative by Glo, members of NURTW are to send a toll free SMS to 30003 and to recharge a minimum of N1000 Glo airtime monthly.

The multi purpose  card will serve as a cooperate ID for financial transactions as well as a database for all members of National Union of Road Transport Work.

Globacom is doing this as part of its corporate social responsibility as the use of this card by members of NURTW will  help in curbing crimes that are most times committed under the disguise of the union.
