D-8 Countries Meeting on Shipping Opens

D-8 member countries on shipping are in NIgeria for the 3rd time in 3 years consolidating on their previous achievements and to strategies on ways to realize their target of 500 billion dollar interest on their collective trade investment by 2018. Minister of Transport, Idris Umar who declared open the meeting in Abuja urged D8 Members to critically addresses the issues of low cooperation and commitment amongst them. He also stressed the need for more private sector involvement in all Maritime activities.
